Several Messy Churches have purchased ribbons and flags from Kingdom Dance - www.kingdomdance.co.uk.
The Bead Shop in Nottingham has an incredible array of wooden beads (along with many other kinds) for craft activities. Their postal service is excellent - orders are sent out the same day and they ring to tell you if there is anything they can't supply.

We've devised and revised this survey to try and get Messy Church-goers to let us know what they want from Messy Church. If you can take it and use it, please do!
Messy Church Survey version one
One of the questions we've been chewing over at our planning meeting is how to involve the Sunday congregations more in Messy Church, both as helpers and to make it clear that this is an opportunity for them to invite neighbours and friends along and enjoy coming as a member themselves.
We've come up with a form for helpers, which is going in the church magazine and which we'll hand out as a letter into people's hands in Sunday church.

The very first Messy Fiesta training day took place in Portsmouth in November 2007. Amongst the fun and the fellowship, we also talked about some of our hopes, fears and dreams for Messy Church.
Each person could look at their own experience of Messy Church, whether thinking about starting a Messy event or looking back on running one for some time, and together we dreamed some dreams.
