Messy Church Storytelling workshop

Date: Friday, 15 November 2019 - 9:45am to 12:30pm
Venue: St Mary of Nazarth, West Wickham, Bromley BR4 0DX

Hosted by Martyn Payne

Storytelling was at the heart of Christ’s teaching ministry, and opening up the Bible in the Messy Church celebration is an opportunity to retell God’s story and allow it to speak into our own. In this workshop, Martyn will explore some of the basics behind good Bible storytelling, with plenty of opportunity for participation and fun as we explore a variety of ways to lift the stories of the Bible off the page and into hearts and minds.

Martyn Payne is a teacher and Bible storyteller who has worked with the Church Mission Society (CMS) and The Bible Reading Fellowship (BRF) and Messy Church. He has written various books including: A-cross the World, The Barnabas Family Bible, Creative Ways to tell a Bible Story, Messy Parables and Messy Togetherness.
