Welcome Deacon Melanie Beaven, new Regional Coordinator for Carlisle & North, Cumbria! Melanie is the first of hopefully a team of Regional Coordinators across Messy Cumbria, supporting Syl Hunt (RC Cumbria). Melanie supports two Messy Churches, works ecumenically, is about to start another Messy Church and is passionate about creating Messy gatherings for those families more isolated in rural areas.

Melanie says:

'I am a Methodist Deacon living in Carlisle and working across North Cumbria. One aspect of my ministry is the development of our family work, including Messy Church. I am passionate about exploring fresh expressions of church and love creativity - so Messy Church is a perfect match for me! I feel really blessed to be able to see people growing in their faith and discipleship, and enjoying time shared together with their family and friends. In my spare time I like to go on fell walks with my husband and our dogs - we love camping and the outdoors - but if the rain is too heavy, I happily make do with a sofa, a glass of wine and a book or some knitting.'

Melanie is eager to pray for and support the registered Messy Churches in Carlisle & North of Cumbria. Find your Regional Coordinator on our website.
