Family Teams

Posted by Lucy Moore on 22 Oct 2009

Another idea that popped up at the Round Table is to ask a family to run a craft together. This means that the separate family members get to cover for each other so they don't miss out on all the activities on offer; they'll need to talk and work together to plan and prepare their activity - i.e. lots of nice family interaction; they could 'adopt' an elderly or young helper to be temporarily part of their family team, thus strengthening relationships across ages and single / family people; and it means they have a manageable leadership role which can be built on if it proves fun, helping them become helpers rather than helped.
