What a brilliant idea, St Mary's Wotton under Edge in Gloucestershire! Sunday 17 April is Good Shepherd Sunday, this year, and after trying a Messy Nativity Sheep Trail in the past, St Mary's are holding a Messy Sheep Trail leading up to Good Shepherd Sunday this week!

Sixty knitted sheep are in the shops in Wotton and all ages are enjoying hunting for the sheep and taking note of their wonderful names: Iris in the optician's; Tender Lamb in the butcher's; Curly Top in the hairdresser's; Buttercup in the florist's; Penny Black in the post office; Ewetwnsil in the cookery shop, Baa Code in the supermarket and lots more!

Morag Langley explains, 'After hunting for sheep this week we are holding a Good Shepherd celebration on Saturday with activities, gifts, refreshments, school displays and lots more.'

We pray for a great week of fun exploring the story of the Lost Sheep. You can view more photographs on our Messy Church BRF Facebook page and follow this wonderfully creative story on St Mary's Facebook page too!
