Fresh ideas for building a Christ-centred community

New regional coordinators and an angelic idea

Angelic greetings to our new Regional Coordinators Andreas Isenburg in Westphalia, Germany; Jennifer Martin in Basingstoke, Hampshire; Naomi Savage in Lichfield and Tamworth, Staffordshire; and Caroline Green in Burton-on-Trent! Welcome to the Regional Coordinator network! We would dearly love someone to pray for and support the Stafford region and also the Walsall & Wolverhampton region. Keep looking on our Messy Church Facebook page for more appeals to join the Regional Coordinator network. Contact jane.leadbetter@brf.org.uk for more information and don’t forget to keep those ‘Dear Jane’ requests coming in. We are here to listen and support.

During my visit to see Caroline Green, I heard about the Messy Angels that are being knitted and crocheted all year round. They are part of an Advent project with Churches Together in Burton-on-Trent, where angels with a message attached are lovingly placed on the doorsteps of each house in the community. A simple but powerful act of thoughtfulness and kindness. Indeed, during the last few years, after lots of churches around the world had first attempted a Messy Nativity sheep trail, angel trails are flying around our Messy communities with families hunting for angels and the real meaning of Christmas in the local shops and communities, then drawing in the families to an angel-themed church Christmas service. Let us know what you’re planning for your Messy community this year.
