Welcome Brenton Prigge as Messy Church Regional Coordinator for Brisbane North and Sunshine Coast! We are delighted that Brenton continues as a Regional Coordinator for Messy Church but now on the other side of Australia! Brenton was a Regional Coordinator for Western Australia and spent many years actively involved in Messy Churches in the Busselton region and beyond, working with the First Third Ministry in the Uniting Church Synod of WA. Before that, Brenton was in South Africa and was born in Johannesburg. After completing a BA in Archaeology and an honours degree in Biblical Studies he spent four years as a Youth Pastor while working through the process of candidating for the ministry, and completing a theology degree. Brenton always had a special focus on young people within and through the church.

Ordained in the Methodist Church of Southern Africa in 2000, Brenton served in Methodist Churches in Durban, Westville, Pretoria, Lichtenburg, Johannesburg and Cape Town. Brenton moved to Australia in 2009. Brenton is now the new Minister at Chermside Kedron Community Church in Brisbane, Queensland, with a special focus on children, youth and family ministry, and we welcome him back to a new Messy supporting role for this region.

Brenton has always had a strong emphasis on ministry to young people, children and families and has a special passion for the way in which Messy Church connects with such people who would generally not engage with 'traditional' ways of being church.

We feel sure that Brenton has already found good diving spots on the Queensland coast as he continues his recreational hobby and we pray that he finds many opportunities to share Godly Play stories with his community, another passion Brenton shares.
