Specialist Messy Coordinators

We have a number of volunteer coordinators who can give help and guidance with your specialised needs.

If you don't see the specialism you need here, please contact us and we will do our best to help.

Katie Norman & Jill Phipps

Messy Vintage National Adviser & Messy Vintage Coordinator

Katie:
I have been involved in Messy Church for ten years in Jersey, and nine years ago I co-founded Messy Vintage, a Messy programme especially designed with older people at heart. Alongside an amazing team, great joy is shared both at our Messy Centre and in the care homes and dementia units we visit. We are delighted that, with BRF's help, Messy Vintage is now growing globally.

Trish Hahn

Messy Church SEND coordinator

Trish is a minister's wife and now based at Clacton Christchurch URC and Dovercourt Methodist Church, Essex. She has sixteen-plus years' worth of working with children and teenagers, and is passionate about Messy Church and working with families who have additional needs and disabilities. Trish has been a coordinator at Adeyfield SEND Messy Church, Hemel Hempstead. She has two children, one with cerebral palsy.

Kathy Bland

Messy Social Action Coordinator

Kathy has been part of the Leominster Priory Messy Church team since 2010. She is Messy Church Regional Coordinator for Herefordshire and South Shropshire as well as working part-time for the Diocese of Hereford's Young People's Team. Kathy is also the Social Action Coordinator. She says, 'Building small but important steps that will make a positive difference into every Messy Church session helps us all to shine a light of hope into dark situations.'

Nicola Slater

Messy Forces Coordinator

Nicola is a forces wife based at RAF Lossiemouth in Moray, Scotland, where she coordinates a Messy Church each month. Messy patterns of family life, on forces bases, means regularity of events and groups are more difficult, but Nicola believes Messy Church fits in well. There are around 50 RAF stations in the UK and many more Army barracks and Naval bases.

Dr Dave Gregory

Messy Science Coordinator

Dr Dave is the Senior Minister at Croxley Green Baptist Church in Hertfordshire. Dave has a background in physics and astronomy and worked in research at the Met Office and the European Weather Centre for 15 years. He is interested in the connections between science and faith, and enjoys regular science opportunities at the Messy Science Lab at Croxley Green Baptist Messy Church.
