Llannerch-y-medd is a rural village of about 1,400 people and the old market town of Anglesey; it is in the heart of Anglesey. There are three places of worship, a church and two chapels, with a combined attendance of under 20 between them. Messy Church (Llan Llanast) meets once a month in the Steision y Cafe (Station Cafe) on a Wednesday afternoon after school.
